Use this window to view, create, amend, delete, and import the codes to differentiate between the various types of absence that an employee might take. For example:
- S – Sickness
- H – Holiday
- U – Unauthorised
- L – Late
- G – Statutory Holidays
To use absence monitoring and enable the system to correctly calculate any holidays taken by employees, you must type the code that refers to absence for holidays in Leave – Absence Type on the Absences tab in System Setup > Housekeeping > System Definitions.
These absence type codes are used each time an absence is recorded for an employee and they enable absences across your organization to be analyzed by type in queries and reports. For example, you can report on all sickness absences by department or employee.
