Employment Global Changes

Global Changes is provided to allow the operator to change all the occurrences of a given value of one of the codes held against the employee’s employment history records, to another value.

Both the old value and the new value will have to exist on the relevant maintenance file before this procedure can be run.

 

The first screen of the wizard allows the user to select from a list of codes that are maintained against the employee’s employment history records.

The second screen of the wizard allows the user to define the value of the code that is currently set on the employment history record and is to be replaced.

The third screen of the wizard allows the user to definition the new value that is to be assigned to that code field on the employee’s employment history record.

In the example given, all occurrences in a location of Bridgend Campus, are to be changed to a location of South West Campus.

Once it has been confirmed that the process should continue, the process will read through all the Primary and Active Primary employment history records making the request code changes. If a change is make to an employee’s active primary employment history record then the same change is also make to the employee’s term screen.
